Adele continues to kill it in a big way. Her second album 21, released in 2011, has surpassed Pink Floyd’s classic The Dark Side Of The Moon as the 7th highest selling album of all time in the UK. Sales numbers for 21 are now at 4.14 million in the U.K. alone, while total sales worldwide are around 20 million.
These figures are even more impressive today considering how many illegal downloads of 21 surely took place, on top of her sold copies. Check out the complete biggest selling albums of all-time top 10 below. Adele is expected to overtake Dire Straits’ Brothers In Arms for the #6 spot by the end of the week.
1. Queen – ‘Greatest Hits’
2. The Beatles – ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’
3. Abba – ‘Gold’
4. Oasis – ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’
5. Michael Jackson – ‘Thriller’
6. Dire Straits – ‘Brothers In Arms’
7. Adele – ’21’
8. Pink Floyd – ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’
