Before Tom Brady began his legendary NFL career and won his seven Super Bowl championships, he was a quarterback at the college level for the Michigan Wolverines. And based on a recent post on social media, it’s clear that he still very much keeps up with the latest news surrounding his alma mater.

The Michigan Wolverines football program is currently facing an NCAA investigation into allegations of an illegal sign-stealing scheme. As a result, head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended by the Big Ten Conference for three games as the investigation into the allegations continues.

Following the announcement of Harbaugh’s suspension on Friday evening, many current Michigan players had a coordinated response on Twitter as they all posted the word “Bet” simultaneously.

Shortly after quarterback J.J. McCarthy and several other Michigan football players sent the post on social media, legendary Michigan quarterback Tom Brady added his voice to those subtly supporting Jim Harbaugh, quoting McCarthy’s tweet and adding “Bet” himself.

On Saturday, Michigan took on the Penn State Nittany Lions without Harbaugh on the sideline as he began his suspension from the conference and they came away with a win, defeating Penn State by a score of 24-15 to complete their most impressive victory yet this season.
