This season, the Texas Longhorns will be playing their first season in the SEC as they officially join the conference, and it sounds like quarterback Quinn Ewers is quite excited about it.
During a recent interview at the Manning Passing Academy, Quinn Ewers gave his reaction to his team joining the SEC as he made it clear that he thinks that they are ready for the challenge.
“It’s definitely a different level. I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC. I know we’re all excited to be a part of a conference like that,” Ewers said according to On3.
“Football definitely means a lot for that conference. We’re going into it full speed. We want to win the SEC Championship, and we want to accomplish what we were so close to accomplishing last year. I know that we have a team that’s more than capable of doing that.”
Ewers also seems to think that the Longhorns will have a target on their back this season.
“We’re going to be everybody’s biggest game, for sure,” Ewers said.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Ewers and Texas fare in their first season in their new conference this upcoming season.
