Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has inked a couple of lucrative deals as a football coach, but this week, it sounds like he made a big deal as a businessman.

According to a report from Automotive News, a group that includes Alabama head coach Nick Saban has purchased two South Florida Mercedes-Benz stores in a deal worth about $700 million.

The group, which is called Dream Motor Group, includes Saban as well as former Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon and CEO Joe Agresti.

“It’s a big deal. This much Mercedes-Benz volume all at once in one fell swoop is rare,” Agresti said according to Automotive News.

Automotive News reports that the two dealerships sold about 5,000 new and 3,000 used vehicles annually, according to Greg Barnes, president of the dealerships.

It makes sense that Saban would make such a business move in South Florida as he recently completed a purchase of a $17.5 million oceanfront mansion on Jupiter Island in South Florida.

Obviously, he currently spends most of his time in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as he’s still a full-time coach. But when he inevitably retires, it sounds like he plans to be spending his business and pleasure time in South Florida.
