It’s no real secret that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders thinks very highly of his players, but a recent prediction about the 2025 NFL Draft seems to be taking that confidence to the next level.
During an appearance on First Take in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, Deion Sanders boldly predicted that his son Shedeur Sanders and two-way superstar Travis Hunter would be the first two picks selected in the 2025 NFL Draft next year.
“Did I say that we may have the first and second pick of next year’s draft?” Sanders asked just before the show cut to a commercial break, according to On3. “Did I say that? That plays for Colorado? Did I mention that? OK, I just wanted to mention that.”
Hunter is entering his third season and is not yet eligible for the draft, but will be next season. He has yet to play a full season of college football as he has dealt with injuries throughout his career. Sanders, meanwhile, could have declared for the NFL Draft this year and believes he would be the top quarterback in this year’s draft class if he did decide to leave.
