The Miami Heat and Bam Adebayo agreed on a three-year extension on Wednesday.
Miami has its All-Star center locked in for at least the next few years. The Heat and Adebayo agreed on a three-year extension worth over $100 million.
Shams Charania broke the news on Adebayo’s signing.

Critics of the deal might argue that Adebayo left money on the table. But this sets him up to go in for a big deal at age 31. Playing the future market might be a risk, but it’s one he seems content with taking. With the way the Heat are constantly constructed, there might be good reason for it.
Adebayo has been named to three NBA All-Star teams. He’s also earned All-Defense five times in his career, earning First Team honors in 2024. He’s certainly one of the best big men in the NBA and one of the reasons that Miami will likely remain a threat in the Eastern Conference to at least make the postseason.
