Like most athletes Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy has supreme confidence in his abilities on the field, however he needs to stay on the field and not on the court. Hardy played some basketball while attending Ole Miss, so of course he thinks he can beat LeBron James. When asked if he could beat LeBron in a game of one-on-one Hardy modestly responded, “How should I answer this question? I would dominate that dude. Hands down, guaranteed win. And that’s my favorite player.” Does Hardy realize he was asked if he could beat LeBron James of the Miami Heat and not some guy named “LeBron James” working as a cashier at a Radio Shack. Hardy came to his senses and said, “I would still win. Probably 11-9. Yeah, it would be a tight game. I’m not saying I would dominate him. That was a joke. I feel like I’d definitely win. I think there’s a game there. I don’t think that I’m trash and I don’t think that he’s trash. I think it’d be two dominant athletes playing and I’d come out on top.”
Oh remember how we said Hardy “played” at Ole Miss, he technically did, but in his 15 games he only had one start, and averaged under one point and two rebounds a game. In his best game he had six points and four rebounds. Not quite the résumé of the guy that is going to beat the best basketball player on the planet.
