A really sad scene unfolded Monday afternoon in Tampa Bay when Manny Machado appeared to suffer a very serious knee injury while running to first base on a ground ball. Machado stepped on the bag and appeared to twist his knee, and he immediately went down to the turf in very apparent agony.

Machado had to be carted off the field and the early prognosis looks bleak for O’s fans.
