Shaquille O’Neal is the newest minority owner of the Sacramento Kings.
The Big Aristotle says he wants to be a part of something great and believes in the vision of new owner Vivek Ranadive.
More from SBNation:
“What interested me in this deal is the new vision, the new Kings, the new everything,” O’Neal, who so famously deemed the Kings the “Queens” at the start of the 2002-03 season, said. “I’ve always wanted to be part of something like this…It’s going to be great.”
Shaq will also be charged with the responsibility of mentoring mercurial star DeMarcus Cousins, whom he plans on taking to dinner very soon. In fact, the Kings first wanted Shaq to join the team as a sort of “DeMarcus Cousins Consultant” before they offered him the opportunity to join as a part-owner.
