No, seriously, what the hell is that thing?
Well, according to Darren Rovell, this, uh, thing, is called the Raider Rusher. If you ask us, it looks like the Raiders consulted whoever is in charge of those always-dopey Olympic mascots, and just ran with one of their dumb suggestions. Anyway, regardless of who is to blame for this decision, somewhere, Al Davis is definitely rollin’ in his grave.
UPDATE: Rovell later clarified that Raider Rusher is actually a cartoon character for kids (because that’s still not creepy at all):
The Raiders new mascot, the Raider Rusher, is a character on Nickelodeon’s NFL RUSH ZONE. pic.twitter.com/p2Q9nfNRdp

Unfortunately, he still referred to it as a mascot, which it most certainly isn’t:
@Tyler_Greever @chrismnovak @Gregory_Dailey it is not our mascot. It’s for kid zones. The use of the word mascot by @darrenrovell was awful.

Couple things: 1) the Raiders have a kids zone? And, 2) people take kids to Raiders games?
