Silly Little Frog Takes One Giant Leap Along With NASA Spacecraft

There’s a photo for the ages.  This adventurous little frog must have wandered too close to the launch pad during the LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer) launch on September 6 in Virginia.  He was then propelled into the air by a high pressure sprinkler system put in place to prevent fires, however this time nearly sending an amphibian into orbit.

A NASA spokesperson said:

“The photo team confirms the frog is real and was captured in a single frame by one of the remote cameras used to photograph the launch. The condition of the frog, however, is uncertain.”

Let’s not kid ourselves, we know the frog’s condition.  R.I.P. old chap.
