ESPN is reporting that Mark Sanchez’s 2013 is effectively kaput after suffering a labral tear in his shoulder.
Sanchez got hurt in the Jets’ preseason game against their in-state rival, the Giants. It has been an absolutely bizarre last 24 months for Sanchez, who went from the guy leading the Jets to AFC Championship Games to a media-induce, buttfumbling sideshow.
The Geno Smith Era began last Sunday with a lucky last-gasp win over the Buccaneers at Metlife Stadium. Hopefully Smith can avoid the same ridiculous career path that Sanchez took and just play football for football’s sake.
