It’s September, that means MLB teams are expanding to 40-man rosters, meaning more rookies on the squads. What we have here are the New York Yankees rookies forced to dress like pop stars in a little bit of hazing for Sunday’s game. The players and there costumes might be recognizable to some, but if not, here’s the cast of characters in order from left to right: Preston Claiborne (Billy Ray Cyrus), Cesar Cabral (Rick James), interpreter Jiwon Bang (Psy), Brett Marshall (Yoo Jae-Seok, the weird dancer from “Gangnam Style”), David Adams (Vanilla Ice), and J.R. Murphy (Justin Bieber). The “event” seems to have been orchestrated by Yankees reliever Joba Chamberlain.
Award for best costume goes to Marshall, with an A for effort as he looks really immersed in his role.
