The Chargers were gifted one of the craziest touchdowns of the 2013 NFL preseason on a double fumble against the Cardinals this weekend. In the second quarter of the San Diego-Arizona matchup on Saturday night, Chargers running back Ryan Mathews fumbled the ball at the goal line and the ball was recovered by Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson, who then (for some reason) attempted to lateral the ball to a teammate, only to have it plucked it out of the air by Chargers tight end John Phillips for a touchdown.
Something tells me Johnson is going to get an earful about his bonehead turnover this week in practice.
