College football has gotten much cuter with the emergence of Goldie, Tulsa University’s puppy ambassador, who will be running out and retrieving the kick-off tees during home games. Only five months old, Goldie will serve as the team’s first live mascot in decades.
For an idea of how special this particular puppy is, here are some details on how she was chosen as told by her trainer, Susan Owen:
She wasn’t the one going around jumping on everybody all the time. There weren’t any that were shrinking violet or very shy. She wanted to play all the time, but then when you picked her up, she just melted in your arms and was just very soft, and that’s what we need. That’s what we’re looking for specifically for this job.
Doesn’t get much better than that, does it?
