Chad Qualls and the Miami Marlins are in a close one against the New York Mets. Tied at 2 in the top of the eighth, Qualls gave up a lead off triple to Marlon Byrd. Qualls was able to wiggle out of the jam with a strikeout of Omar Quintanilla acting as what should have been the coda to a fine inning of relief work.
UnFortunately, Qualls’ emotions poured through in one of the least graceful fist pumps we’ve ever seen.
