NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Percy Harvin, who is oft injured, will be lost to the Seahawks for 3-4 months to have hip surgery and heal. The news is a big blow to the Seahawks who were definitely looking forward to his game-changing type skills on the offensive side of the ball. With Rice also being injured, Golden Tate better polish up his cleats.
Surgery will be performed Thursday in New York by Dr. Bryan Kelly, according to Rapoport. The Seahawks later confirmed the surgery. Rapoport reported last week that Harvin had a possible slight tear in the labrum of his hip after feeling discomfort during a workout. He flew to New York on Tuesday to get a second opinion on the injury.
