Atlanta Braves’ pitcher Tim Hudson had his ankle stepped on by Mets’ Eric Young Jr. at first base during a game between the Braves and the Mets on Wednesday night, and the injury looked awful. We don’t know the extent of the injury yet but Hudson was down for quite a while as EMT’s attended to him. Hopefully it is not as bad as it looks, yet ankles are definitely not supposed to bend that way.
Hudson had pitched a fantastic game up to the injury in the 8th inning allowing just four hits and no runs leading the Braves to a 6-0 lead at the time.
Our prayers go out to Tim.
Eric Young, Jr., who clipped Hudson and injured him, goes over to apologize to the pitcher as he's taken off; EY, Jr. appears to be crying.

And Tim Hudson's being taken off the field on a stretcher. We'll let you know more about his condition when it gets out.
