Kobe Bryant took to his Instagram account today to post a photo of him shooting a jumper in the Lakers’ practice gym. It is fairly amazing to think that Kobe is already back on the court, even if that doesn’t include running or jumping. The man has some incredible work ethic and dedication. Kobe tore his Achilles tendon on April 12 during a game against the Golden State Warriors and had surgery just two days later.
The photo had the following message as a caption: “#showUagain 6-30-13.”
Kobe spoke to Lakers.com this week about his healing progress.
“It’s (Achilles tendon) feeling really strong; I can walk without a limp, I can go up the stairs and just stand on my toe, which shows a lot of strength in the tendon.”
Kobe is expected to miss six to nine months because of the injury, but I wouldn’t bet against him returning even sooner.
