You may recall a few weeks back, Matt Kemp had met a young man struggling with illness and he ended up giving him his jersey, hat, and even shoes. The 19-year old, Joshua Jones, from Tracy, Calif. was recently diagnosed with inoperable tumors and given only 3 months to live. Well, Matt Kemp looked to make things a bit better for the young man and he flew Joshua Jones and his family to Los Angeles to check out the Dodgers and Angels play some ball. Joshua got the royal treatment while he was in L.A. and got to meet most of the Dodgers players, Angels’ Mike Trout, as well as the Dodgers’ CEO Stan Kasten.
Jones’ father summed up the experience quite well: “This is a dream come true for my son here, I mean, look at him — he doesn’t even know what to say.”
