As part of Operation Payback, a movement against American corporations who have suspended the access of funds to WikiLeaks, a global alliance of so-called hackers that go by the name, “Anonymous” have been deploying DoS attacks against these “culprit” organizations. Both Mastercard and Visa had their websites brought to their knees and PayPal and Twitter have also been under attack. PayPal has since released the funds to WikiLeaks but their account remains in a suspended state. Twitter suspended the Operation Payback Twitter account but that has not stopped new ones from popping up. Word War III bitches—doin’ it cyber style.
