There was a very special and emotional moment before Game 2 of the Bruins-Maple Leafs series on Saturday night when the Bruins called on Boston Marathon bombing victim Jeff Bauman to be the honorary banner captain at the TD Garden.
Bauman, who lost both legs while waiting for his girlfriend to cross the race’s finish line and later helped to identify both bombing suspects, waved a black and gold “Boston Strong” flag from his wheelchair on the Garden ice prior to the game, creating a goosebump-inducing moment for everyone watching.
