Hockey players are synonymous for having their teeth knocked out, but hockey goalies are usually exempt from this ugly byproduct of the game. However in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Playoff series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators both starting goalies have lost their chompers. On Thursday Senators goalie Craig Anderson lost a tooth in Game 1 after his mask blocked a shot from Rene Bourque. Here is Anderson after the game and sadly it appears his modeling days are over.
Now on Friday night Habs goalie Carey Price was on the receiving end of a skate to the mask from teammate Jarred Tinordi. The blow from the defenseman resulted in two chipped teeth. Price is a hockey player so it was no big deal, he calmly skated over to the Montreal bench and gave the remains of his teeth to the trainer. Hopefully the Tooth Fairy is generous to Price for his excruciating injuries.
