The Warriors / Nuggets series has been one of the few exciting series’ of this year’s NBA playoffs. We’ve seen the emergence of Stephen Curry into a legitimate megastar. The SF Bay Area might have known how good he is, but now the world knows.
In game 4 in Oakland, Curry displayed the best natural shot in the league in what might have been the best 3rd quarter performance in the history of the NBA – scoring 22 of his game high 31 points.
In game 5, being down 3-1 the Nuggets wanted to bring a level of physicality back to the game and make sure Steph didn’t feel like he was out there on his backyard hoop. Warriors Coach, Mark Jackson took exception, saying he had an “inside source” on the Nuggets who gave him the head’s up on their “dirty” game plan of taking cheap shots at Curry. Makes for an interesting game 6 in a series that’s already extremely chippy.
