When he’s not busy party rockin’, LMFAO’s Redfoo is just 37-year-old (yes, 37 years old) Stefan Gordy, the son of Motown founder Barry Gordy (being a recording industry trust fund kid makes it much easier to pursue a career as a novelty rapper, that’s for sure), and an avid tennis junkie. This spring, the younger Gordy will be trading in his zebra-print leggings for white tennis shorts, as he competes in the USTA Northern California Sectional qualifying tournament, in hopes of qualifying for the 2013 U.S. Open. In addition to singles events, he’ll also compete in mixed doubles alongside 17-year-old Ayaka Okuno, who he currently coaches.
Red and his cohorts hosted the Party Rock Open tennis tournament in Las Vegas in September, which was open only to women, because, well, it’s LMFAO, and that’s how they roll.
