Siblings Karisma and Phillip Gallardo attended the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones and Evansville Iceman game on Saturday in order to participate in a ceremonial puck drop in honor of their father, who is serving an Army deployment in Afghanistan. Cue the waterworks. Before the game, the kids and their mother were led out to the ice, where they got a special surprise delivery of the puck from none other than their father, Phillip. The kids hadn’t seen their father in over a year, which made this tearful center-ice reunion just that much sweeter. It’s moments like these that remind you not to take any time for granted with the people you love.
