This was just a horrifying moment in Detroit. Artem Anisimov suffered what appeared to be a very serious head injury during the Columbus Blue Jackets meeting with the Red Wings on Thursday night. As Anisimov skated around the Detroit goal, he collided with Kyle Quincy, falling to the ground and subsequently having his head crushed into the ice. It was a complete freak accident as the forearm of Quincy came down and seemingly knocked Anisimov out cold. He was stretchered off the ice, but reports from the Columbus Dispatch are saying that Anisimov is now alert and moving. Very scary moment, but glad to hear he’s doing ok.
