In a promotion for the Illinois Lottery, Blackhawks winger Patrick Sharp dressed up in a dog costume and surprised a fan named Deb with a Valentines Day gift basket (in an attempt to demonstrate their motto that “anything’s possible”). She initially seems a little underwhelmed and confused by the whole thing, recognizing that she’s on camera and probably wondering why this random person dressed as a dog is giving her a gift basket.
But then she sees the Blackhawks mascot, Tommy Hawk, and loses her marbles….all while Patrick Sharp is a mere 5 feet away from her. When he finally reveals his identity, Deb is speechless and most likely having the realization that all future Valentines Days are just bound to go downhill from here.
Patrick—please feel free to surprise me with a gift basket any day you please.
