ESPN’s College GameDay has a challenge sponsored by State Farm: hit a half court shot within 18 seconds, win $18,000. Seems simple enough, especially considering it’s not an in-game showcase, but rather in front of a handful of fellow students, the men’s basketball team, and some guy wearing a bunny hat. Still, only two participants had made the shot — until today. Notre Dame senior Casey Murdock nailed the half-court shot on his second attempt, and, while he didn’t get any style points for his shooting form, he walked away with a nice chunk of change that he can use towards his wildly expensive tuition — or a really bitchin’ kegger.
