Quick note to aspiring burglars, being sober during and after the theft is always the smarter option. USC tight end Junior Pomee did not follow that simple rule and therefore is facing felony charges of ‘burglary, grand theft and possession of stolen goods.’ Pomee was arrested on Jan. 29th by the USC police folks, who are also called DPS officers, when they found him passed out drunk in an alley with a laptop and some other items.
According to the LA Times:
The incident is described as “Theft-Grand” and “receiving Stolen Property.”
“DPS officers responded to an intoxicated student who passed out in an alley behind the location,” the entry said. “The student became combative when contacted by the officers and had to be physically subdued. The officers found the student in possession of a tablet computer and other property that did not belong to him and they subsequently determined that the items had been stolen.
“The student was then arrested and transported to [the LAPD’s Southwest Division] station for booking.”
Stupid is as stupid does.
