When Brazilian sides Gremio and LDU Quito faced off Wednesday night in the Copa Libertadores qualification, an amazing goal was followed by a very scary incident.
Gremio striker Elano Blumer scored an absolutely stunning goal from about forty yards out to give Gremio the 1-0 lead and, naturally, the crowd went nuts.
Then, things took a turn for the scary. As thousands of fans rushed towards the pitch, the steel fence that separates the crowd from the players crumbled under the massive pressure. Several injuries were sustained, but thankfully no deaths have been reported.

Things like this have happened so much that it is now the norm for Brazilian stadiums to have fences separating fans from players, but clearly these fences are not made to stand up to such chaos.
