A nasty altercation took place Saturday night when East Carolina’s Shamarr Bowden punched Konner Tucker of UTEP in the face during the second half of their game.
In the video, you can see Bowden take down Tucker under the basket while his teammates try to score. For no apparent reason, Bowden starts to swing on an unsuspecting Tucker. The close up angle shows a much better view of the two punches that connect with Tucker’s face. Bowden was then ejected from the game.
Bowden, a senior guard, has a history of violence and this type of behavior. He was arrested last April for “criminal possession of a loaded weapon and prohibited use of a firearm” after he allegedly fired several shots in the air at a party.
After the game, Bowden took to Twitter to apologize for his actions directly to Tucker.
@ktuck_25 didn’t get to speak to you after the game but I want to apologize to you and your team. (cont) tl.gd/kra3u3

UTEP went on to win the game with a three-pointer at the buzzer. Karma anyone?
UPDATE:
Bowden has been suspended one game by East Carolina head coach Jeff Lebo for his actions Saturday.
