If the NBA’s resident Discount Double-Checker is going to run his mouth, it might carry more weight if his team could actually beat the team he’s speaking ill of. The Chicago Bulls built up a 20-plus point lead Friday night against the New York Knicks — in Madison Square Garden, no less — before easing up on the gas pedal en route to a 108-101 win. Afterwards, 3-point specialist Steve Novak fired a shot at Bulls guard (and former Knick) Nate Robinson, referring to the diminutive spark plug as “Nathan”, and informing him that he can be “just like me” with his on-court antics. Well, “Nathan” got the last laugh, which is what the Bulls seem to be doing lately, thanks to a 3-0 record this season against their big-city rival.
Nate Robinson saw the response and took to Twitter to throw a little jab of his own.
