The years after “Saved By The Bell” ended its run were bleak. There was that college thing and then they tried to start over with a whole new set of spoiled, rich teenagers on “Saved By The Bell: The New Class”. Naturally, it failed miserably, but it did a few things right.
1. It kept Screech from getting into porn before his time.
2. It gave Mr. Belding some more work before he ate his fat ass to death.
3. It allowed a young Colts quarterback by the name of Jim Harbaugh a chance to stretch his acting legs.
In this particular episode, a young man is upset because he celebrated a touchdown before he crossed the goal line (a young Leon Lett, perhaps?) and cost Bayside the game. Screech, ever helpful, asks his cousin Jim Harbaugh to visit and pick up the young man’s spirits.
Watch as Harbaugh delights in his role as Jim Harbaugh, and note the back slap on Screech at the end. I wonder if Jim Schwartz would like to break this down for us.
