Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated had one heck of a lede on his piece detailing the Lakers hectic weekend. Lee casually dropped, with purpose, that Kobe Bryant had to give Blake a helicopter lift to visit a Doctor’s office for his strained abdomen this past Friday.
Kobe Bryant did not speak to reporters after practice Monday because Lakers point guard Steve Blake suffered an abdominal strain and could only get an appointment with an Orange County doctor in the early afternoon, so Bryant flew him there in his helicopter to avoid any irksome traffic on the 405.
Kobe Bryant’s travels in his helicopter to practice are well documented, and if I had that kind of dough I would instantly spend it on a helicopter after having to deal with the 405 freeway for 15 years of my life.
