Check out Tracy Kimball High School (CA) quarterback Zack Johnson pulling off one of the most impressive and athletic hurdles I’ve seen in a while on his way to paydirt…or rather, what SHOULD have been paydirt. Johnson was penalized for the hurdle because it was deemed “unsportsmanlike conduct.”
I’ll never understand this call. Ever. Ever EVER.
Why is it unsportsmanlike for one player to be more athletic than another? Sure, it’s pretty embarrassing for the defender who got posterized on the play, but star athletes are bound to embarrass a few people here and there. Hello, that’s what makes them stars! You can’t just take from the rich and give to the poor, that’s called communism.
This is AMERICA, the home of free and land of the below-average defenders who get hurdled.
