This Sunday, during a match between Anorthosis and Omonia Nicosia fans took soccer violence to a new level. The match had to be suspended for 10 minutes in the second half due to fans actually throwing an explosive at a player who was receiving medical treatment. An Anorthosis player was on the ground getting treatment when something that looked like a flare was thrown by Omonia away supporters, which landed right next to the fallen player and exploded seconds later. The below video shows the scary scene, and incredibly none of the medical staff or players were injured.
