
As reported by Reuters, Denver billionaire Phillip Anschutz, owner of Anschutz Co. has announced his intention to sell the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). AEG is a major driving force behind bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles but it appears a several billion dollar sale is imminent.
AEG holds several assets, including the Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Lakers along with London’s O2 Arena. It is unknown if Anschutz plans to sell every AEG asset or particular ones but regardless, the push to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles could certainly take a detour without Anschutz Co. behind the drive.
