Tom Coughlin gave Greg Schiano the business following the finish of Sunday’s Giants and Buccaneers match up. The reason for Coughlin’s ire came from the final play of the game when Eli Manning went to take a knee but was still knocked over by Buccs defensive players. Tom Coughlin, rightly or not, took offense to the incident and let Schiano know about it, and there was no handshake.
According to Eye on Football:
Coughlin explained later that he was upset because his players told him that the orders to hit Manning on the kneel-down came directly from Schiano. In his postgame presser, Manning also said he took “a little bit of a cheap shot.”
