“King Felix,” as they call him, made history Wednesday when he threw the first game in Seattle Mariners history. Hernandez was hot all day, throwing 12 strikeouts on 113 pitches against the Tampa Bay Rays.
It was a good thing Felix was ‘perfect’ because his team managed to only score a single run, defeating the Rays, 1-0.
This is the first time in MLB history there has been three perfect games in a single season. The others where thrown by Philip Humber of the Chicago White Sox and Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants.
Watch King Felix make history.
