If you’ve been to a major sporting event lately you know they aren’t cheap. With the excitement in Oklahoma City to see the Thunder in the NBA finals the cheapest seats in the house are going for nearly $400 a piece and if you want to get close to Kevin Durant and LeBron James it could cost you up to five grand.
But if you want to get a little more up close and personal than the Thunder dance team allows you’ll see inflation there too. According to Brian Bates of JohnTV, Oklahoma City’s prostitutes are following the NBA’s lead when it comes to pricing:
The prostitution that you will see on places like back page and places like that where they will use keywords, ‘Thunder or NBA,’ those are the same girls that have been out here on Robinson that were $20 a trick and they’ll be $200 to $300 a trick, because of the NBA and because they’re online. but that certainly doesn’t equate to record-setting trafficking.
$300 for a $20 trick? That’s a 1500% price hike? Makes arena beer prices look downright reasonable by comparison.
