Air New Zealand is running a world-first to celebrate their sponsorship of the upcoming NZ PGA Pro-Am Championship, The 30,000 Foot In-flight Putting Challenge. The promotion is exactly what it sounds like, a putting tournament in the aisle of a mid-flight Air New Zealand plane. More information about the challenge, teeing off March 22nd 2012, can be found here.
It’s definitely a cool idea, but you can’t really do much with the narrow aisle of a commercial airplane other than lay down a green rug and hope for some turbulence to make things interesting.
