Calvin Johnson just got the richest deal in NFL history. The Detroit Lions signed their star receiver to a 7 year, $132 million extension this morning with $60 million guaranteed.
Under his new deal, Megatron’s average in-season weekly paycheck is $1,109,243.70. If he maintains his current production level and earns the full $132 million over 7 years, Johnson would make $257,611 PER CATCH and $1,924,198.25 PER TD. It’s safe to say that Mr. Johnson is set financially for a few lifetimes.
