Eagles Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia is known for being a tough city to succeed in at the professional level for athletes and coaches alike. That’s coming to the head this season, where the Philadelphia Eagles have secured the number two seed in the NFC heading into the playoffs, but where there’s still a lot of unrest.

Many have felt that the Eagles have not quite lived up to their full potential with the surplus of talent on the roster, and it appears that the decision-makers are included.

Some people within league circles think Nick Sirianni’s job could be in jeopardy if the (Eagles) lose in round one of the playoffs, per (Jeremy Fowler),” reported JPA Football, an NFL-centric Twitter account.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“How many teams would kill for a coach that could get them a playoff appearance and yet the Eagles will fire him for making the playoffs but possibly having an early exit?! Raiders should hire him then if he is fired,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“They are clearly looking for any reason to fire him. Front office knows how good this team is, despite Sirianni,” one fan added.

“Serious question, what do coaches like Nick Sirianni and Dan Campbell actually do? They don’t call plays on either side of the ball,” added another fan.

It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold.
