Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been working together since Musk assisted the President-elect on the campaign trail. Musk has even been appointed to Trump’s upcoming administration as an efficiency expert.
However, there have been reports that Musk is angling to take over the Oval Office himself, and Trump has made it clear that he’s not going to sit back and accept that. In an address that is making the rounds on social media, Trump let the nation know exactly what the deal is.
“[Elon Musk] is not going to be president. That I can tell you. I’m safe. You know why? He can’t be. He wasn’t born in this country,” Trump said.

People reacted to Trump’s message on social media.
“No previous president-elect in history has ever had to say this. He’s weak,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“The reason should be because you won the election, not because Musk wasn’t born in America,” someone else added.
“Trump’s not happy about the President Musk stuff. Keep up the good work, internet,” added another person.
“The fact that Vice President Trump even had to say this- speaks volumes,” someone else added.
“Just the fact he has to say this means someone close to him brought it up and made him nervous,” said someone else.
It seems like their relationship is starting to fray.
