Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud called out billionaire Elon Musk this week after his involvement in a political standoff.

Elon Musk, who now holds a position in Donald Trump’s cabinet, played a key role in leading a conservative opposition to a bipartisan effort to prevent a partial government shutdown.

Cloud, unimpressed by the actions of the billionaire, voiced her frustration on social media.

“So when y’all gone tell Elon to go back to Africa?” Cloud wrote in a post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Im so glad ALL these billionaires have no idea how the 3 branches of government work…. or how a bill gets passed into law. Shoutout to the 38 Republicans who shot the bill down in the House while being threatened & blackmailed,” she added in a follow-up post.

This is not the first time Cloud has spoken out on political matters. After the 2024 presidential election results, she expressed her anger toward the women who voted for Donald Trump.

“The privilege of celebrating rn is exactly what’s wrong with us as people,” Cloud posted. “I am truly worried about my fundamental human rights.”

“Racism, misogyny, and hatred of women are so deeply rooted into everything that is America. Until we fix the roots…it will never grow,” she continued.

Needless to say, these comments from Cloud led to a lot of reactions on social media.

“They’ll never do that because he’s a billionaire,” a person wrote on X.

“He needs to be deported actually!!! He’s committed so many crimes against Americans!” someone else added.

“Using X to throw shade on Musk,” someone else pointed out.

“Trump needs to take his stupid fan boys on a one way trip to Mars,” another person added.

“He’s probably be happy in Germany,” someone said, referencing Musk’s recent support for the far-right party in Germany that has neo-Nazi ties.

Clearly, Cloud is not happy with Musk and the current government.
