The scene shown in the video below was properly described as chaotic, as a player punched a referee directly in his face after an argument directly in front of a police officer. Sfintul Gheorge midfielder Julian Bursuc got into a heated argument with referee Ghenadie Sidenco, and decided to throw a right hook directly to his face. To make matters worse his Julian’s team gave up 2 goals after he was red-carded off the pitch, and Sfintul Gheorge’s lost 3-0 to Iskra-Stal. Not surprisingly, Julian was also taken into custody by the local authorities immediately following the incident. In fact, as you can see from the below video he did it right in front of an officer of the law. The one surprising turn of events was that instead of waiting for his punishment (which would have been extremely steep), he retired following the game.
