It sounds like police documents confirm that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was the victim of a rather serious crime.

According to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Travis Kelce had his home burglarized last month – along with teammate Patrick Mahomes – and it sounds like the thieves came away with a pretty hefty sum of cash.

The police documents confirm that Kelce’s house was burglarized on Oct. 7 – the same night the Kansas City Chiefs took on the New Orleans Saints on Monday night football. The case is currently under investigation.

“According to Cass County Sheriff’s Office documents we obtained, the burglary at Mahomes’ extravagant Belton, Missouri estate was reported to cops at around midnight on Oct. 6,” TMZ Sports reported.

“Sources familiar with the situation tell us Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas mansion was broken into just hours later … on Oct. 7 — the same day the Chiefs took on the Saints in a ‘Monday Night Football’ matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.”

TMZ obtained more information from police with a report stating that the break-in happened at 7:33 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, which is just a few minutes after “Monday Night Football” kicked off.

According to the document, $20,000 in cash was taken from Kelce’s home, and his back door was damaged.

Since the break-in occurred during the game, nobody was at the residence.

Kelce actually moved to the home last year in search of more privacy after his relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift became public.

It’s not clear whether or not authorities have any leads or suspects.
