Dak Prescott Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

It looks like the Dallas Cowboys will be without star quarterback Dak Prescott for quite some time.

According to a report from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Dak Prescott is expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

“Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is expected to miss multiple weeks because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday’s loss at Atlanta, sources tell me and @RapSheet. No decision yet on whether to place Dak on injured reserve. But it’s worse than expected and it will be a bit,” Pelissero said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Needless to say, this is pretty horrible news for Prescott and the Cowboys in the midst of what has already been a disappointing season, and the news has led to a lot of reactions on social media.

“And so the 2024 Cowboys can finally be put to rest,” one fan wrote on X.

“Hope they play Lance and not cooper rush,” another fan added.

“I bet he’s happy he don’t have to be on Jerry’s sinking ship,” another fan added.

“Jerry Jones is a sucker, time to OVER PAY for a QB trade,” another fan speculated.

“Tank season baby,” another fan added.

With Prescott sidelined, it’s likely that the Cowboys will go with backup Cooper rush to replace him.
