The Cincinnati Bengals might be the most disappointing team in the NFL this season.
Cincinnati entered the season with championship aspirations behind the arm of star quarterback Joe Burrow and his connection with receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Mar Chase. They’re a long way from those lofty goals, but figuratively and literally, according to one data-driven reporter.
“Bengals’ chances of making the playoffs: 27.6% Chances of landing a Top 10 draft pick: 40.1% (via ESPN Research),” ESPN’s Ben Baby shared on Twitter Monday, after the Bengals’ latest gaffe to the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s a brutal update for a team that entered the year with so much promise. Fans reacted to the news online.
“I want playoffs or a top 5 pick. I don’t wanna go 5-4 in the last 9 games. Either dominate the last 9 or flounder the last 9. No in between will be tolerated,” one fan said on Twitter.
“Chances of blowing said top 10 pick, 100%,” one fan added.
“27 percent give me a break lol,” one fan added.
“I don’t believe even the most pessimistic fan saw this coming… I think this team is in more trouble than people think,” one fan added.
“At this point, I want the top 10 pick,” one fan added.
It’s hard to believe Joe Burrow and the Bengals would let the fan base down to this extent, but here we are.
